Go Karts at "The Track"

Date:

Saturday, July 12th, 2008. We'll meet at 10:00AM.

Weather:

This event requires good weather. The folks at The Track won't let us out if the track surface is wet. The karts run racing slicks. These tires have tons of traction in the dry and minimal traction in the wet. If the weather looks questionable and you are unsure if the event will happen, call me on the morning of the event on my cell at 303-817 3989.

Meet:

At The Track at Centennial. You will find "The Track" down by Centennial Airport, there is a map on their website: http://thetrack.us. On  Mapquest, if you search on the intersection of S. Potomac St. & Otero Ave., Englewood, CO it comes up as correct location. Note that this is the best route, County Line Road does not go through at the airport, but does connect to Peoria south of the airport.

Directions:

  1. I-25 to Arapaho
  2. East on E. Arapahoe Road
  3. South on Peoria which will curve East turning into E. Broncos Parkway
  4. South on S. Potomac/S. Chambers Road which will curve East
  5. South on S. Potomac St. (yes, again)
  6. West on Otero Ave., go to the end of the road.

Food:

After racing, we will find a place for lunch to discuss who was the fastest.
All racing skill levels welcome, come join the fun. The track will supply and anti-skid suit, gloves and a helmet however feel free to bring you own, if you prefer. Don't wear sandals, open toed or heeled shoes. Bulky clothing is sometimes hard to get the anti-skid suit over.
